A lovely day at last – no wind + warm. Got in the 2nd class Waikanae lambs + the wooly [sic] Johnson lambs + culled poor ones to put on swedes in CK p[addock]; we have 150 on turnips now. Let a further 3 chains of drain (2 ½ ft deep 2 ¼ feet wide at top + 1 ft at bottom) in main swamp in Cow p. to Messrs Robbie + Slimitz at 9/6 per chain.
