Gil + a young chap named Anstice went up to South Block to live in whare + cut posts for boundary fence. Took a "gid" sheep (2-tooth of "young" ewes – another died) to Bulliman’s slaughter-house. Finished 1st 17 chains (except battens) of CK–Swamp p[addock] fence. Snow falling on ranges all day.
