Overview
This fleece blanket is one of millions made for the Red Cross for disasters world wide. This particular blanket is of mid-thermal weight for use in Christchurch, and is part of the Winter Warmer Pack distributed by the New Zealand Red Cross.
The Winter Warmer Pack was developed when early snowfall hit Christchurch in June 2012. Several households were still living without basic amenities since the devastating earthquake of 22 February 2011. The Pack includes practical items to help people out: beanie and gloves, milo and soup, thermos mug, hot water bottle, wind-up torch radio, and a 'fleecy snuggle sack'.
