Overview
This 'Fleece Snuggle Sack' comes with the Winter Warmer Pack which is part of the Red Cross outreach programme in Christchurch. It is simply constructed from a large piece of fleece which buttons and zips up to create a warm, cosy sack-like garment.
The Winter Warmer Pack was developed when early snowfall hit Christchurch in June 2012. Several households were still living without basic amenities since the devastating earthquake of 22 February 2011. The Pack includes practical items to help people out: beanie and gloves, milo and soup, thermos mug, hot water bottle, Red Cross fleece blanket, wind-up torch radio, and most popular of all, the 'fleecy snuggle sack'.
