Overview
This pair of child’s Chinese style trousers are made of turquoise coloured silk with embroidered pink flowers and a pink waistband and lining.
The trousers are part of a set of Chinese clothing worn by Betty Campbell when she was a child living in China with her parents who were missionaries there. Betty became a significant Wellingtonian and national community leader. She received a MBE for her ceaseless community work.
