Overview
This heru (haircomb) was handmade from whalebone for the soloist Precious Clarke who performed the karanga at the beginning of the Rugby World Cup ceremony in Auckland, 9 September 2011.
Her costume consisted of beautifully made and authentic elements, showcasing both Maori culture and New Zealand costume design to the world.
