Overview
Thin, tough, opaque rag paper made originally for the Oxford University Press in imitation of paper from eastern Asia; used chiefly for the printing of Bibles. Distinct from "China paper," which originated in China, has a tighter fiber bond, and is typically used for steel engraving and woodcut proofs, and as lithographic transfer paper.
