I joined Mr Lancaster + Len Landcaster at my front gate as arranged for on Thursday + we all went up to the Levin HP water-supply reserve bush in Ohau Valley + explored the gully of East Creek. Found many interesting plants + shrubs + took 2 photos of interior of the bush. Len named the following for us:- Daisy tree - Seneco Kikii; elongaged oak-leafed shrub (juvenile form) - Panax Edgerleyi; ordinary 5-leafed elder - Panax Colensoi ; the epiphytal whorl-leaged shrub - Pittosporum cornifolium; "sour" fern - Pteresincisa; "scented" fern - Pteres scaberula; the big shrub at corner of house at - Melicytus Lanceolata.
