Xmas Day. Usual display of presents at breakfast. Experimented watering paths with arsenic solution to keep down weeds. We all went over to Cheslyn Rise to dinner. Dora, Ronald, Jimmy McKenzie + George Broomfield also there - 14 at table + a splendid dinner. Took 1/4 pl[ate] photos (1) Geroge + Nancy playing football in backyard; (2) group at kitchen garden gate; (3) Vivian taking a photo of Nancy - Jimmy assisting; (4) group on side lawn + 1/2 pl[ate] (5) full group on verandah. Played games + ate good things including huge tea of delicacies. Very happy day - Nancy a prime favourite with her merry funny ways.
