Planted the wattles, etc - Acacia Nomalis A mollisima, Eucalyptus rotrustus + E. Stuartiana - in enclosure beyond Hollow in far 42. Moved dog-kennels there in order to keep away hares. Also protected some with branches of pine, etc. over to Cheslyn rise at 11am dagged 120 "turnip" hoggets (very bad dagging) + crutched 70 with machie. Frank Haydon left last Monday. Half-yearly report to Dalgety + Co :- Sheep:-Lambs 80 @ 18/-. Breeding Ewes 390 @ 25/-. Ram, 13 @ 2 1/2 gns [guineas]. Breeding ewes in lamb - condition good. Lambs in excellent condition. Cattle:- 60 2 yr steers @ £8. Steers in good winter condition. Harness, Chesnut, Mare, Silvermane £8 aged. Leasehold 370 acres Rent £150 quarterly. Lessee Mr WG Adkin. Am[oun]t expended in Imp[rovements] £45 (by purchase wire + staples). Property improving - prospects good.
