Tues. June 18
Stormy day with heavy rain. Drove Maud + Nancy down to Mrs Whitaker's and stayed to lunch. Mr Whitaker's price for erection of trap-shed + work-room is £80 + lining front room £33 - about double what I had expected but as we cannot any longer do without them, told him to go ahead. Attended Levin sale - called for Maud + Nancy + had afternoon tea. Rough night.
