Clif + I rode up to Sonoma - Mr Kay joinned us + we got out his steer that I have kept for the last 9 months. Mustered the steers in 100 ac[re] p[addock] to Mill p. - 5 missing - 46 others. Mustered ewes + rams from 100 ac. p. to yards cruteched remaining 21 ewes, 1 lamb + 1 ram - drafted out 38 more poor + lame ewes + rams + put them with the others in the

Ram p. Spent rest of afternoon wiring willows to river-bank near Ram p. to prevent erosion.
