King's Birthday + lovely weather so Maud + I decided to have a day off. Packed hamper + drove in gig along Arapaepae Road - photo (1/2 [l[ate]) (1) of Tararuas; (2) the sandstone scarp on north side of present Ohau Valley - to Muhunoa Bridge + up Muhunoa Road + along Florida Road to Kimberley Road ford. Lunched on river-bed below ford + took 1/4 photo (3) of Maud + Nancy at lunch + (4) self + Nancy ditto. Collected shrubs, red + white mapausfor planting at Wooside. A enjoyable drive, the weather was so calm + bright.
