Rode up to Sonoma - moved ewes + rams from

lower part of Leightonp[addock] to Mill p. - Leighton p. is very bare. Saw the 8 steers on Mill p. + 42 of the 44 steers (including one of Kay's) in 100 ac[re] p. Finished clearing Makahika Cliff fence-line. Took the new pup, Tweed, up river for first time - he was very game, dashing through river in great sytle.
