Up to Sonoma - moved ewes + rams from Mill to Leighton p[addock]. Borrowed a heavy hatchet from men working at new traffic bridge over Makahika + cut down the tall miro on edge of cliff at cleft in Oau flat which I am fencing off for

safety of cattle. Sowed main burned patches in 100 ac[re] p. till rain stopped me.
