Cold rather better. Stayed at home + commenced erecting fence to enclose gum + wattle plantation beyond Hollow garden in far 42. Put the 3 strainers for temporary fence, also 9 posts. Cut 30 battens for this fence out of a rimu I discovered + also sledged up firewood. Mrs Lancaster came to see maud + stayed to dinner. In pm Maud + Nancy came out + watched me work.
