At 8.10 drove up to Sonoma in cart taking 15 cwt [hundredweight] own plain + 1/4 cwt barb wire of Father's to complete Leighton-Top p[addock] fence + about 1 1/2 doz[en] sticks of weeping willow. Stored the kegs of staples in whare, the wire just inside entrance of main Ravine + stuck the willow sticks in river-bank near the far end of Ram p. where the river is eroding. Mustered ewes + rams on Mill p. + put them on good feed in 100 ac[re] p., only saw 11 of the 13 rams. Saw the 26 steers in Mill p. After lunch walked up to top of Leighton Spur + restarted

fires in stumps etc, on future fence line. left for home in card at 4.40 with 3 strainers + two posts. Home at 6.10. Over to Cheslyn Rise in evening for quarterly square up with Father.
