easterly gale last night + today + some driving rain. Drove to Levin in evening. Received returns for sale of pcs [pieces]. etc - good prices:- Dead wool 11d. ; xbred seedy 13 1/4 d; seedy lambs 11 1/2 d. Locks + pcs 6 1/2d. Read "Mr Britling sees it through" by H.G. Wells
