Drove Hugh down to 8.45 train. Later rode down to levin sale = big yarding of sheep + cattle in A + W's yards. Bgt [bought] 4 2y[ear] steers @ £7.14.0; 1 20 months steer @ £6.10.0; 10 2-2 1/2 yr steers (some bad colours) @ 8.5.0 + 2 2yr steers @ £7.11.0 = 17 averaging about £7.19.0. Frank helpedme drive them up to Cheslyn Rise yards.
