Easterly wind continues so rode up to Sonoma + fired logs, heaps + fern on top + 100 ac[re] p[addock] also sawdust + heaps in Mill p. Logs etc burned well but fern patchy. Moved name from Mill to Ram p. + ewes and lambs in 100 ac. p. to Mill p. Two steers are missing + found one down in bush below cliff at Horse-shoe Bend, groaning + unable to get up, cause of trouble unknown but probably a fall or tutu poisoning.
