About 10.am we set out for the beach, Gertie riding on Kitty + Maud, Nancy & I in the gig. Took a 1/2 pl[ate]photo(1) of the party on road where where in runs through the manuka. Drove to Miss Bowles' cottage

found all out, so drove on to beach. Met them there + we at once went in for a bathe with Miss Bowles while Viv + Enid took Nancy. Later Maud, Nancy, Gertie + I lunched on the beach + I took a 1/2 pl. photo (2) of them. In pm Miss Bowles + Viv + the others joined us + we again bathed, this time just south of the mouth of Hokio. I got several other people including the Misses Burt + the Bagrie children to join us + took two 1/4 pl. snaps (3) + (4) of the whole party bathing. Returned to Miss Bowles cottage for afternoon tea + returned home about 6.30.
