At 10.30 Maud Nancy + I set out for

Hokio beach in the gig. Vivian rode out on Fanny to stay with Miss Bowles + the little Dentons + we took her luggage. Lunched at the cottage, walked out to sea + bathed, hauled + boat [sic] round the bend of the Hokio to near Miss Bowles' cottage + bathed in the stream. Later I made George + Jack a couple of Maori paddles + after tea drove back home leading Fanny. During the day I took the following 1/4 pl[ate] photos (1) The cottage + party (2) 6 Bathing (3) Maud sitting on beach + Nancy walking alone. (4) Group in boat in Hokio Stream.
