Overview
Sat. Jan. 19
Another showery day. Made a gate to prevent Nancy falling down steps, + interchangeable with back + front porch entrances. Branded my 4 new steers (£5.1.0) + took them + the two big ones on far 42 up to the Mill p[addock]. Rode round hilltop shepherding + saw the survey pegs where the surveyors finished their survey on south side of Ohau Summit. Drove to Levin in evening - weather changed to a cool southerly breeze + clear sky.
