Went down to Wgton [Wellington] by first train.Called at the Income Tax Office in Govt Bldgs [Government Buildings] to appeal against an income tax of about

£45.I have no taxable income but found that owing to my not having sent in returns, the Govt had tried me on to the above extent.I handed in returns and was let off.Dined at Kirkcaldies' + then did some Xmas shopping.Returned home by 4.15 pm train.
