Took my 28 2-2 1/2 y[ea]r steers to Levin sale also Father's 35 3 + 4 yr bullocks, 10 2 1/2 yr steers, 2 crock steers + 3 heifers. My steers sold at £10.2.0 + Father's at £13.10.0, £10.15.0, £5 + £4 respectively. A bad sale, market much depressed + a big drop in the large prices ruling up to a fortnight ago. Afternoon tea with Father + Mr Kay. In evening Maud + I started sowing vegetables in kitchen garden putting in lettuce, radish, cress + French beans.
