Overview
Mon. Nov. 5
A beautiful fine day. Up early and set out in gig at 6.30 to visit Messrs A & L Seifert's flaxmill at Miranui beyond Shannon. Arrived there at 8 am.Interviewed several persons in authority Mr Seifert, managing director, Mr Hallam secretary + Mr Webb, manager. The "stripper" engineer named Sutton kindly took me over the works + explained the processes. Took 1/2 pl[ate] [next word underlined] photo's [sic] (1) General view of the "stripper" machines building + the reservoir with an artesian in foreground.
