Overview
Mon. Oct. 22
The westerly still rages. Frank Clif + I rode up to Sonoma for second docking. Very bad job getting sheep into yards - docked 84, bringing the percentage up to 87 so far. One of the 9 steers on Mill p[addock] is evidently diseased, big pouch under jaw + foaming at mouth. Found a ewe with diseased udder black + watery, so skinned her. Put ewes + lambs on 100 ac[re] + Top paddocks."
