Very wet day. In monring Frank + I rode up river + shepherded ewew + lambs, first on teh South Bl[oc]k + then on Sonoma. Evidences of very big flood in river - banks washed away + much fresh driftwood. My bank protection of live willows

near Ram p[addock] also washed away. Father + Clif went to Wgtn [Wellington] by Napier Train to get latter an outfit for farm work. I wnet down to Gower p[addock] with cart + got a load of big punga stumps, also some long pungas from front Bush - these are for an ornamental fence in Hollow.
