Up early. drove Maud + Nancy down to meet the Napier train en route for three weeks holiday at Hastings. After dinner rode up to Sonoma - moved ewes + lambs on lower part of leighton p[addock] (which is teribly bare) to Mill p. + shepherded. On return home watered native shrubs + the fruit trees as we have had a dry spell. Wet night after all, but it will do a great deal of good.
