Rode over to Cheslyn Rise + erected cyclone netting in 10 1/2 ac[re] p[addock] turnip crop ready for wintering Father's weeker [sic] lambs. Drove Mrs. Herd down to Napier Mail train. Returned home via Koputaroa + Tavistock Roads + collected 8 large + 4 small cabbage trees - planted the former on track down to Hollow Garden. In pm drove Maud + Nancy to Levin to shop. Lovely clear cool day.
