Mustered Father's 70 steers - he drafted out 37 + gave me the remaining 33 plus 5 others in exchange for the 37 steers he took from me some months ago = 38 at £7.10 = £285. Branded these 38 steers + drove them up to Sonoma putting 33 on Leighton p[addock] + 5 on Mill p. Branded 38 of Father's 2 1/2 yr steers + he + George drove them up to South Block. I put my ewes + rams in Ram p[addock] for night.
