Rode over to Cheslyn Rise. Father picked 5 breeding ewes out of the up river 2-tooth ewes + I picked 95 from the balance paying 32/6 for them. Drove these 95, also 5 other ewes + 51 ewe lambs up to Sonoma + put them [sic] Leighton p[addock], + the new rams + put them with the other rams on Mill p. This year I have [106] breeding ewes ( any stragglers, extra) + 12 rams. Worked at trench for high-pressure water-pipe in evening, Mr Cottle very kindly helping me by using his plough to excavate the trench along
