Started shearing Father's hoggarts [sic]. Over at 6am. W.Broughton + M. Winiata arrived 6.30. Machines ran well all day but they only got thro' about 160. Hoggarts [sic] in splendid order, mud fat + fleeces very bulky. To-day was gloriously fine - ideal shearing weather. Had breakfast + dinner at Cheslyn Rise, home for tea.
