Rode up to Sonoma - Gladstone Road not clear

of the fallen trees, etc. Mustered the 62 ewes in Mill p[addock] + put them back on Leighton p. - the change has benefitted these ewes very much. Got a rough count of steers, in Top p. + on hilltop. 41 or 14 short. Inspected east b[oun]d[ar]y fence on Ohau slope + found it sound but got soaked to skin in wet scrub. Re-ascended to Ohau Summit + walked along to "1st burn" + went on clearing fallen trees of east bdy fence + straining up wires. Read "The Battles in Flanders" by Edmund Dane (Daily Telegraph War Book).
