Resumed photography after about 7 months spell by doing some Seltona + Tintora prints. After dinner Maud + I went out for a drive + explored the road running thro' the Kawiu Block. Took a 1/4 pl[ate] photo at corner of Tiro Tiro + Kawiu Roads of Maud in trap with Kawiu Block in background. Afterwards drove

down to Lake Horowhenua. The level of the lake has been lowered, permitting an approach to the water's edge - a great improvement. We got one glimpse of the partial eclipse of the sun through a break in the clouds. Drove to church in evening.
