Rode up to Sonoma - met Mr. Tress who had found my missing steer in Mill p[addock] - near old entrance gate on Gladstone Road - borrowed his knife + took off hide £5.9.0 last purchased lot). Went up to hilltop + worked at fence top of Main Wedge Spur - cleared line + sawed 3 lengths of hinau for posts. Spent evening at "Cheslyn Rise" - Miss Groves also there.
