Tues. May. 2.
Father, George + I rode up to North Block to sow grass-seed on burned patches on "1st burn". Rain came on soon after arrival so they returned + I logged up + collected tins + broken bottles in Mill p[addock]. Caught a small wild pig + carried it down to Milne's but got nothing for it. On return home, went to Cheslyn Rise, took cart + got a load of puketea posts from Uncle Bert's for the boundary fence back + far 42 on Koputaroa Road.
