Drove Maud down to Cheslyn Rise early. At 8 am I set out for Otaki to get the 20 steers which Father recently bought from Mr. Guy Kingdon for £6.6.0. Met the mob at Otaki race-course + had an easy drive home, doing the journey in about 6 hours. Maud + I drove to Levin in evening + had tea. Purchased a lino for kitchen from Styles + Matheson. Back to Cheslyn Rise to change - Uncle Will up + brought our crest + family bible from Fern Hill. Got back to whare about midnight.
