Engravings of plants from the Society Islands

Only one species from the Society Islands is represented in Te Papa’s collection of black and white engravings. This species is also native to New Zealand.

A set of six engravings of this species was sent to New Zealand in the late nineteenth century. Te Papa holds three of these engravings.
