Thurs. Apr. 29.
Stormy day. Father, Andy + I rode up to North Block. Recommenced clearing line for east bdy [boundary] fence, starting at top of Leightons Spur + working south, missing a section of about 5 chains on SE side of "1st burn". The fence we tackled was about the roughest of the lot so we only did a couple of chains or so, but got on fairly well considering huge masses of birch + supplejack. Heavy rain stopped us at 3 pm. - wet through on way down to whare. Changed clothes + cut up gate (on stable) for south end of Ram p[addock]. Deluge of rain lasted well on into night.
