D + S Morgan continued shearing the best hoggarts [sic]. After dinner Erny + I rode up to North Block to muster my big cattle for the sale tomorrow. Unable to find the remaining big bullocks on hills - 2 of the £3.7.0 steers also missing. Brought down 17 bullocks + put them in Stewart p[addock] for the night. The Russians have invaded Cracow + the city is in flames.
