Moved most of ewes from near side of Stuckey’s side of Mill p[addock]. Then put in posts (less four)

+ stays of outer fence of sheep-yards. While on sawdust heap getting stays smell something dead + found one of my steers deep in the bog beyond – he must have got in nearly a month ago. This loss puts about 3/- per head on the remaining 35 steers. Mr Edwards + young Read came to see us at whare in evening.
