Finished top-dressing the 10 ac[re] p[addock] with the manure distributor (basic slag + kainit) also put a little more on Stewart p. Father + Len sowed the 2 acres behind Home Bush by hand. In afternoon I worked at pipe drain in CK p + the others carted stones for same. Before + after the afternoon’s work I dug 15 tree holes for my hedge in front 42. Mother returned from Wgton [Wellington] by 7.37 train.
