Very stormy day. Anstice took cart + I rode down to station to get the manure distributor which Father has just bgt [bought] for £17. On return home dagged (in slush + rain) the lambs we brought down from UR last Thursday - all culled out 35 weak ones for drenching. Put out hay-racks for hoggarts [sic] on turnips in CK p[addock]. Howling night.
