Overview
Mon. May. 25
All up to North Block. Mustered 14 Kelson hoggarts [sic] (stragglers) off south end - mustered Leighton p. & got my ewes & rams (less one ewe) & 17 Kelson hoggarts. Father & Jim took the hoggarts home. Gil, Anstice & I put my sheep on Stuckey's side of Mill p. and then took about 200 up to Styles' woolshed & started crutching about 2.40. Got through 72 including two rams - Gil & Anstice 37, self 34. Brought the crutched ewes and rams down to Ram p. for the night. Put 86 in night pens. Gil & Anstice took the wool home & I stayed up at whare. The ewes are for most very well-wooled and clipped heavy crutchings. All were very clean. About 10% were very lame with scald between toes - the rest have very sound feet.
