Wet day - made a [swingle?]-tree + maul for my use up river. later in afternoon Father + I round shepherding. In

evening the rain stopped about 10.30 pm + Gil + Jim went down to catch a tram leaving about 2.15 am en route for the Territorial camp at Takapau where they are to spend a fortnight. As a result I will have to milk the three cows + Anstice + I will not be able to camp up river until their return. Read "The Social Buccaneer" by F[re]d[eric]k. Isham.
