Father, Gil + Jim went on dipping own sheep. Anstice + I rode up to North Block + continued at Ohau River fence - trimmed + carried posts (cut 2 or 3 yrs ago) to line, recleared line of scrub, ran out wire + put in a few posts - very bad sinking, boggy with gravel + boulders. Left for home at 3 pm. Anstice + I took the 247 sheep to station + trucked them to [Jean?] Meat Co., Petone for freezig, finising at 7 pm. (1 3/4 hrs to station + 1hour putting them into four trucks). Father put out the Shrop[shire] rams with the "old" ewes.
