Recognition:
- in Fiji, only known from upland cloud forest.
- often multi-trunked.
- the indusium is prominent, enclosing nearly half of the sorus.
- short pinnae can occur near the base of the frond stalk, with a significant distance separating them from the pinnae higher up.
Distribution: in Fiji, known from upland forests of Viti Levu. Also occurs in Samoa, Cook Islands, and French Polynesia.
