Recognition:

  • does not form a trunk.
  • the sori are on the pinnae margins.
  • the lamina of the frond is only slightly hairy (and there are no scales).
  • the large fronds are finely-divided.

Distribution: in Fiji, common in open areas.  Widespread elsewhere in the Pacific, including Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and Samoa.
