Black-faced monarch

The black-faced monarch is a small flycatcher that breeds along the east coast of Australia, and migrates north to Cape York Peninsula and Papua New Guinea. The only record from New Zealand is a bird caught by a cat at Stratford, Taranaki in April 1996.
